JS Bank supports revival of international cricket by sponsoring Pakistan Avs Kenya cricket series – December 17, 2014

JS Bank limited (JSBL) has sponsored a cricket series between Pakistan A and Kenya cricket team to help revive international cricket in Pakistan. The five match one day series will be played in Lahore at Qaddafi Stadium. It is the first time that any International cricket team cricket is visiting Pakistan after the horrific attack on the Sri Lanka cricket team, back in 2009. This tour is of considerable significance to both the PCB and JSBL as they hope the successful staging of the series will be the first step towards reviving cricket in Pakistan and convince other nations to tour the country.

The participation of Kenya would help build confidence and re-assure the international communities’ perception of Pakistan’s ability and suitability to host International cricket. Mr. Imtiaz Bukhari (Business Head JS Bank) commenting on the occasion, “It is JS Bank’s immense pleasure to be associated with the series and I am confident that staging this series along with Pakistan Cricket Board will surely play a big part in resumption of International Cricket in Pakistan. We strongly believe in giving back to the society”
