The new extension of the emergency ward at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD), Jinnah Hospital was recently inaugurated by Mr Jahangir Siddiqui, as part of the JS Group’s strong commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility.

JS Group supports many organizations and initiatives, mainly through the Mahvash & Jahangir Siddiqui Foundation. The primary focus areas of this foundation are healthcare, education and sustainable development through social enterprises. This year, JS Group collectively contributed PKR 347 million to the foundation, to be further divided in the three focus areas of the foundation.

Also present at this inaugural event was Ms Nadia Munawar Siddiqui, Director Corporate Affairs, who stated that, "CSR at the JS Group is an integral part of our business strategy, and has evolved from pure corporate philanthropy. The reason for this is that now there is an increased convergence between the private sector, the financial markets and the global community. Our main aim is to incorporate long-term measures into our definition of success and to target profitability that is sustainable."
